Lorri will present participants with a new way of working with clay. Using paperclay (regular ceramic clay with paper pulp added to it), she teaches skills and techniques that encourage fragile and elongated forms that are often regarded as impossible to make and fire. The class will culminate in an actual raku firing during which your piece will be fired so that you will actually leave class with your finished sculpture!
Lorri's sculpting workshops range from a 3 hour demonstration with questions and answers to a full week workshop working with students creating large scale scultures in paperclay. What ever age group, experience level, or time allowance, Lorri will inspire you to try something new and have a great time doing it.
Fun, hands-on and experimental, Lorri will teach you the concepts and techniques and then allow you to “go for it” in the three days we are together, opening your mind to a new way of working with clay.

Public Speaking
The creator of the Women with Wings Project, Lorri has had the privilege of sitting with women from all walks of life, to hear their stories and to use these stories to create permanent works of art. Her contagious enthusiasm and love of life will lift your spirits and inspire you to go home and create.
Lorri will take you, using words and images, through her own journey in finding her creative voice. In doing so, she will give you the courage and some specific techniques to find your own.
